What are the Rules of Touch Rugby (aka Touch or Touch Football)?

We are using the Federation of International (FIT) Rules.  We built our League rules using it as a guideline.  View the How to Play? page for details.

The Spring League starts early May and runs until mid June.  The Fall League starts late September and runs until the end of October.

We play on Turf fields at the Irving Oil Field House.

Is there Insurance?

We do have General Liability Insurance for the League & Location via Touch Canada however ALL players must sign a WAIVER in order to play.

Why does each player pay $30 to Touch Canada?

In order for the League to rent a venue to have a season, General Liability Insurance is required.  Joining Touch Canada means that each player pays a $30 yearly registration fee that covers the calendar year January 1st to December 31st.  So if there is another season of Touch Rugby within the same calendar year, you are exempt to pay the registration fee.  Plus if a player wants to try out/join a Touch Canada team they are able to since they are registered by paying their registration fee.

What is the Cancellation Policy of Membership Fees?

A player may cancel their membership during the open season registration period, up until the registration deadline. Once the registration period has closed, no refunds will be issued, as the fees are necessary to cover season-related expenses.

Can I join as a Substitution Player?

These players can step in for a team if they’re short on members. They can’t play, however, if the team has a full roster or during Playoff/Championship games. The fee is $30 per substitute night.
